Scoobypedia

The zombies were the disguises of actors hired by Veronica Oscar.

Physical appearance[]

The zombies were a very large horde of undead monsters varying greatly in appearance. However, they all had emaciated, sometimes skeletal faces, grey skin, and ragged and stained clothing. Many of them had tufts of white hair, boils on their skin, and black sun spots.

Personality[]

The zombies were mostly intimidating due to their number, as they can surround a house. They appeared to be mindlessly hostile, attempting to force themselves into Oscar's mansion to attack Mystery Inc. Despite being trained actors, the zombies immediately broke character upon Veronica Oscar's instruction.

History[]

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (DC Comics)[]

The zombies were the disguise of horror novelist Veronica Oscar, who intended to use the hoax as a publicity stunt to boost her declining book sales. Oscar called Mystery Inc. to her house, asking for their help investigating the zombie attacks. She showed them scraps of clothing supposedly left behind by the zombies, but forgot to remove a clothing tag from the costume store she bought it from. Nevertheless, Mystery Inc. accompanied her to a book signing, finding no clues or traces of the zombies, then stayed the night at her mansion. However, that night, the zombies surrounded the house, attempting to enter and frightening Mystery Inc. Despite this, Velma found the clothing tag on the scraps and exposed Oscar as the culprit. Oscar revealed the zombies were paid actors and sent them away, but then apologized to Mystery Inc. for fabricating the zombie attacks.
