Zombie Teenagers and the Island of Doom was a film loosely based on the adventure Mystery Inc. had the first time they were on Moonscar Island. The director, Alan Smithee, made an elaborate plan where he played on the gullibility and ignorance of Mystery Inc. to trick them into coming back to the island to play themselves, with a weak "tropical" makeover to confuse the gang into thinking they weren't on the same Louisiana island. He gave up on the movie when he discovered the treasure of Morgan Moonscar.
