The song was performed by Rude Boy and the Ska-Tastics in an attempt to force everyone to dance for eternity, or until they die from fatal exhaustion. The band faked their deaths in a ploy to write the perfect ska song in secret, but the song took far longer than expected and ska faded in popularity by the time they completed it. The band resorted to dressing as zombie versions of themselves and using the song as a method to hypnotically boost their album sales.
After several attacks in which the band would hypnotize Crystal Cove citizens with the song, they were defeated by the Hex Girls, Shaggy, and Scooby using the ultimate power chord in a magic infused band battle.
