Worm was broken out of prison (along with other members of the Injustice League) by Manyfaces to defeat Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, along with Mystery Inc.. However, the villains were eventually outwitted and captured.

The Worm first appeared in the Dynomutt, Dog Wonder episode The Day and Night Crawler on ABC. The Worm was originally a human scientist called Ronald Hickman who was mentioned to have been the victim of one of his experiments, which resulted in his brain falling into a worm's body and turning him evil. He is similar to the DC Comics villain Mister Mind.
