The Wedding Witch of Wainsly Hall was the disguise of the food truck chef lady, based on the tragic legend of Lenora Wainsly.

Physical appearance[]

The wedding witch resembled an old, green-skinned woman with dark brown hair tied into a low-hanging bun, yellow eyes with red sclera, and a gaunt face without a nose or lips. She wore a white and tattered wedding dress from the 1800s with a high open collar and a golden pendent attached to the end of it, long puffed sleeves and a long tattered skirt. She also wore a pair of red, high-heeled shoes and long, white socks, which were not visible until her capture, as well as a tattered wedding veil and a pair of golden hoop earrings.

Personality[]

The wedding witch was a hostile and demented creature who attempted to drive her victims away by chasing them. Despite the historical Lenora Wainsly being vengeful and overcome with fury, the wedding witch appears to be more sadistic in nature, giving loud, high-pitched cackles while terrorizing her victims. She often gave threats to those attempting to trespass on her territory, claiming that those who enter never leave. She also uses her levitation abilities to approach her victims in different angles.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Levitation: The wedding witch was capable of levitating while she moves, as well as through windows and paintings. This is made possible with overhead wires arranged around Wainsly Hall. However, this means that the witch was not truly capable of flying more than mere inches above the ground, and her abilities are mostly limited to indoors.
  • Chemistry knowledge: The witch was capable of preparing a pie laced with sedatives for Shaggy, Scooby and Foxworthy to ingest. The pie was also prepared with a combination of spices that induced a waking dream state, similar to a hallucination.

History[]

Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]

A food archaeologist, the chef intended to steal samples of the famous centuries-old food at the mansion so she could recreate the recipes. As the mansion was being relocated to make way for an interstate bypass, the chef created the witch disguise to postpone the relocation until she could gather the samples she needed. The disguise was based on the legend of Lenora Wainsly, a bride-to-be who, in the 1880s, cursed the entire mansion after being abandoned on her wedding day. Purported to be Wainsly's ghost, the witch first appeared when Mystery Inc. arrived the mansion. In an attempt to scare them away from the scene, the witch pushed a statue off the rooftop and threatened them.

The witch appeared a second time in the dining hall, where she chased Mystery Inc. and comedian Jeff Foxworthy around the mansion, only losing them after they hid in an upright piano. Later, she drugged Shaggy, Scooby and Foxworthy with a sedative-laced pie, which rendered them unconscious and caused them to wake up in a dream-like state. She was, however, captured after Mystery Inc. lured her into a trap with Scooby, Shaggy and Foxworthy as the bait. Tangled and bound by hidden strings, the witch was wheeled out of the mansion in a bathtub, where she was unmasked and exposed. Due to her lacking criminal intentions, the food truck chef lady was not indicted for any crimes and free to collect the samples she needed, but Shaggy and Scooby later ate all the samples.
