Season one[]

The Viking ghosts were the disguises of forest ranger Mark and two illegal loggers, Donald and Edith, who paid Mark to continue their operations. They did so particularly to scare away three archaeologists who had permits to dig for Viking runes on the land. As Donald and Edith posed as birdwatchers, they and Mark terrorized the forest to scare away any potential witnesses to their operations, first seen attacking a family camping in the forest.
