Verona Dempsey was an importer and an amateur sleuth. She was a rival to Velma Dinkley; she had the same initials "V.D.;" wore the inverse colours; and even had her own catchphrase, "Jinkers."

Appearance

Verona is a young Caucasian female with chin-length blonde hair and a pale complexion with frameless rectangular glasses and cherry-pink lipstick. Her clothes have the same color scheme of Velma's, only inverted — red, short-sleeved turtleneck sweater, orange waist coat, orange short pleated skirt, long red socks, and orange sneakers.

Personality

She is arrogant and boastful about her "superior" intelligence, and she is a sarcastic rival to Velma.

Skills and abilities

She seems to have uncanny powers of observation and deduction. However, much of her knowledge of the criminal activity in town comes from her being a criminal herself.

She dressed up as the Creepy Keeper to utilize a lighthouse in Wisconsin so only her shipments of imported materials could enter the port and help Crusty McPeet and her business thrive while the local businesses would fail.

A LEGO set inspired by the aforementioned episode included a minifigure of Verona.
