Vanna Pira is the vampire assistant of Count Dracula.

Physical appearance[]

Despite being a monster (as her name states, she's a vampire) she's the most human and attractive-looking in the castle with the only indications of her inhuman status being her eyes, teeth, and her long fingernails.

Her clothes consist of a long, form-fitting and somewhat-tattered purple dress.

Personality[]

Vanna Pira is shown to be rather ditzy, only competent when it comes announcing prizes and the Monster Road Rally's play by play. She doesn't get most of Dracula's jokes and usually causes him more headaches with her simple-minded nature.

She shows her affection toward Dracula by calling him "Dracky".

Powers and abilities[]

She's also immune to sunlight like Dracula.

History[]

Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf[]

Vanna Pira acted as the showgirl and commentator of the monster race, mostly during times when Dracula was busy trying to thwart Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo from winning the race. Despite working with Dracula, she actively cheers on the heroes whenever they gained the lead. When Shaggy managed to win the race and Dracula tried to go back on his deal to turn him back to human, Vanna Pira called him out on his lie and revealed the cure for Shaggy much to Dracula's irritation.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • She is a spoof of Vampira, the character name of actress Maila Nurmi (1922-2008), as well as Vanna White, who became the Wheel of Fortune hostess in 1982.
  • Despite the fact that Vanna Pira is supposed to be a villain, she shows no signs of malice or evil, so much so that she doesn't agree with Dracula breaking his word with Shaggy.
  • She thinks Shaggy is cute, both in his human and werewolf forms.
