Verner is a nuclear scientist and uncle of Daphne Blake.
Physical appearance[]
Verner is a short, elderly man. He is bald with white hair on the sides, and a white mustache. He wears round glasses, a blue jacket over a white shirt and black tie, along with brown pants and black shoes.
Personality[]
He seems to have no concept of security, showing a visiting relative all his plans.
History[]
Scooby Doo... Where Are You! (Charlton Comics)[]
He welcomed his niece and her friends into his nuclear research center, unwittingly letting in a spy in disguise. He even didn't realize that "she" was breaking one of the rules as photos were being taken of the research center and his plans of a nuclear powered rocket ship, but at one point, Scooby, who was the only individual that knew it was a spy given how they were acting caused an infuriating reaction to the spy and made them chase him around.
Verner, along with the rest of the staff, tried to intervene so no important things were damaged, but was unexpectedly saved when the chase ended with Scooby and the spy crashing into the outdoor pool and washing away the disguise.
