This Is How You Solve The Mystery

Gang performs to audience.

"This Is How You Solve The Mystery" is the final song from the episode Screama Donna.  It was performed by Velma Dinkley, with the rest of the gang on instruments and as back-up vocalists. They performed under the name, "Mystery Machine" - after their van.

Lyrics[]

Velma:
As the manager of Bones Malone,
Jasper Crawl had complete control,
Of which Bones had gotten really tired.
When Jasper found out he was gonna be fired
Thought he'd ruin Bones' comeback with the Prima Donna.
There's more I could say but I don't really wanna.

Girl in Crowd: (Spoken)
Come on, how'd he do it?

Daphne:
Tell them Velma.

Another Girl in Crowd: (Spoken)
Yeah. Entertain us in an informative way.

Velma:
Really? Well, OK.

Shaggy's in the dressing room
He and Scoob found the first big clue,
A high-tech wireless microphone
That alters someone's pitch, frequency and tone,
And that produced the shriek for which the Prima Donna is well known.

This is how we solved the mystery,

Velma and Bones:
This is how we solved the mystery.

Velma:
We noticed when the ghost appeared
She flew around instilling fear.
Exactly how she did was still unclear
Until we saw the broken flight rig of the Balladeer.

His name is Kyle!

Crowd:
Kyle!

Velma and Bones:
Kyle! The Hovering Balladeer!

Daphne:
Kyle!

Shaggy and Scooby:
Kyle!

Velma & Bones:
Everybody cheer.

This is how we solved the mystery.
This is how we solved the mystery.

Velma:
So in summation this narration is my donation
To the art of mystery solving dictation.
And here's what the bad guys say when they play where the law forbids.

Jasper Crawl:
Would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling kids!

Velma: (Singing unaccompanied and off-key)
This is how we solved the mystery.
Bye. (Mic drop)

History[]

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo![]

The gang wanted to see Bones Malone perform, but were too late to get tickets. Hearing of the problems with the Screama Donna, Fred offered themselves as a replacement group to open for Bones, even though they had no experience.

Despite Fred assuring the gang they would never have to perform, they did in order to catch the Screama Donna. Once caught, they performed this song, explaining the solution to the mystery.
