The Terror of the Bigfoot Beast is the third novel in the You Choose Stories: Scooby-Doo series, published by Capstone.
Premise[]
On a camping trip, Scooby-Doo and Mystery Inc. encounter Bigfoot!
Synopsis[]
Beginning
The Mystery Machine is driving over an old, wooden bridge. Shaggy doesn't think that it's going to make it across so he and Scooby try to jump out of the van. Velma gives them both a Scooby Snack to calm them down.
Looking at a map, Daphne notices that the gang are almost at their destination. Fred expresses relief at this due to the road becoming quite rough. Velma asks to be reminded as to why the gang are going to their destination. Fred explains that they're supposed to be having a relaxing weekend in the woods. He then expresses doubt at this due to the state of the road.
The gang finally reaches their destination and finds a nearby cabin.
Once inside the cabin, Velma notices that the lights don't work. She suggests that they should look for a lantern or a flashlight. Daphne then notices that there's no food in the kitchen.
Something then bangs against a window in the cabin. Fred reassures the gang that it's just the wind. Scooby isn't convinced and claims that it's a monster. He points at the window, where a shadow is visible for about a second then goes away. Fred decides to check it out.
The gang waits several minutes for Fred to come back but he doesn't reappear. Daphne speculates that maybe Fred's flashlight went out and he got lost in the woods. She decides to go and look for him. Velma offers to go with her. Shaggy decides to stay at the cabin with Scooby to make sure that Fred comes back.
