Richie Rich Scooby-Doo Show 480p

The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show, and Scrappy Too! is a package show produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1980 for ABC Saturday mornings, ending the next year in 1981. The program contained segments from Richie Rich and Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. The Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo shorts represents the sixth show in which Scooby-Doo appears. This was the only Hanna-Barbera package series for which Scooby-Doo was given second billing and also notable for Richie Rich's debut in animation, presumably for that reason.

The series jumped on the seeming boost of popularity and ratings save of adding Scrappy-Doo to the ongoing series the previous year, however, Daphne, Velma, and Fred were discarded. This left only Shaggy with Scooby and Scrappy in seven-minute comedic misadventures around the world, which became the standard format for the next few years. Also, unlike the previous Scooby-Doo shows, this one involved real supernatural monsters such as vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and even genies.

The format was broadcast by ABC for two seasons, until it was replaced with The Scooby & Scrappy Doo Puppy Hour, which added back some of the crime element to the previously established formula of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!
