The Internet on Haunted House Hill! is the eleventh episode of season 2 of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, and the thirty-seventh overall.
Premise[]
Liza Koshy wants to do an internet video with Shaggy and Scooby, comparing pizza while being scared in a haunted house. Liza has decided to film it at the old Thraber house, supposedly haunted by the ghost of Charles M. Thraber and his floating musical instruments.
Synopsis[]
A door-to-door salesman arrives at a mansion to promote a vacuum cleaner. However, as he enters the house, he is attacked a ghost, who uses floating musical instruments to terrorize the salesman. Later, Shaggy and Scooby travel to the mansion with Mystery Inc., having been invited there by a friend. Velma identifies the mansion as that of the late Charles M. Thraber, supposedly one of the most haunted mansions in the world. There, they meet Shaggy's friend, internet personality Liza Koshy.
Koshy explains she invited Mystery Inc. to Thraber Manor to help her film a vlog investigating the ghost. While Shaggy and Scooby initially refuse to help her, they agree after Koshy offers them an unlimited supply of pizza. Investigating the mansion, they strangely find the building empty; Velma explains that Thraber was a treasure collector who disappeared from public view so he could keep his treasures private. Suddenly, they are attacked by Thraber's ghost, who chases them around the mansion until it eventually disappears.
Mystery Inc. meets the mansion's angry caretaker, who warns them about the ghost and tells them to leave, explaining Thraber's treasures were looted after his disappearance. Though Shaggy and Scooby attempt to leave, Koshy convinces them to stay by ordering them pizza. The pizza delivery man, expressing fear of the ghost, also warns Mystery Inc. about the haunted mansion. While Shaggy attempts to eat the pizza, he is attacked once more by the ghost, who chases them and surrounds them with musical instruments.
After escaping the ghost once more, Shaggy and Scooby film a cooking segment to prepare for their trap while Fred, Daphne, and Velma meet a realtor looking to demolish the mansion and replace it with a fitness center. As the demolition is planned for less than one hour later, they must solve the mystery before then. Suddenly, Shaggy, Scooby, and Koshy are attacked in the kitchen by the ghost. After Scooby is launched into the wall, leaving a dent, Velma finds a relevant clue hidden behind the wall's plaster, having enough evidence to capture the culprit.
As part of a trap, Koshy, Shaggy and Scooby pose as demolition workers and begin destroying the walls. This successfully lures the ghost into appearing, who chases the group around the mansion before stepping into the marked location. Fred appears and uses a jackhammer on the mansion's floor to create cracks, causing the ceiling to crumble and causing a chandelier to fall onto the ghost, capturing it and trapping it under a pile of rubble.
The ghost turned out to be a surprising figure: the pizza delivery man, who was actually the caretaker in disguise. Velma uncovered the truth about Thraber's ill-gotten gains, revealing that his treasures weren't stolen after his death but were rightfully returned to their original owners. The only exception was the golden ceiling of Francesi Palace, hidden beneath a layer of plaster in Thraber's manor. The caretaker, however, had his eyes on this valuable prize. To frighten people away and facilitate his theft, he disguised himself as the ghost of M. Thraber. The ghostly footprints they found were simply plaster, and the floating instruments were a smart illusion of special effects. Liza Koshy explained that the golden ceiling rightfully belonged in an Italian museum, where it could be admired by the public. With the caretaker arrested and handed over to the authorities, Liza concluded her latest video vlog alongside Mystery Inc.
