John Rozum continues "The Dragon's Eye," and in this chapter he plays again with the Scooby formula with great effect. He threaten the gang's lives and hints at Scooby's previous history. The Scooby-save is memorable.
Joe Staton provides perfect designs for Mystery Inc. His pacing for the threat heightens the tension and convinces the reader, that yes, Mr. Rozum is actually going to do it.
Mr. Staton has the knack to render ordinary scenes interesting. At a very European Interpol satrap, Velma and Daphne study mug-shots. Mr. Staton keeps them in constant motion. Velma cleans her glasses, and Daphne rubs her eyes while looking damn cute.
