The Case of the Classic Creeps is the final level of the N64 version of, Scooby-Doo! Classic Creep Capers.

Premise[]

Every memeber of Mystery Inc gets kidnapped by the Ghoul King who makes them prisoners in his castle.

Synopsis[]

Velma is at what seems to be a library looking at books looking and failing to find info on Rex Necros. A shadowy figure walks up to her. Daphne is at a clothing store where same shadowy figure is walking up to her her from behind. Fred is at his “pops” restaurant noticing he’s weirdly late for work. Before the shadowy figure walks up behind him. On a road, Scooby and Shaggy are following a trail of Scooby Snacks and spot the Mystery Machine loaded inside a truck. So they run into the open truck which soon closes and Scooby and Shaggy are left confused and in the dark as well as some kind of creature's growling. The truck drives off and reveals a missing person poster with Shaggy’s face on it.

Shaggy comments on the place being creepy to Scooby. Scooby and Shaggy are inside some kind of dungeon-like tower. Shaggy says he can’t believe the Ghoul King used Scooby Snacks to trap them, before deciding they need to find the others and get out of here.

Within the maze, they can find the Snow Ghost's mask.

Inside a torture chamber with a pit, Scooby and Shaggy can find a hook.

In the main hall, Scooby and Shaggy can find a music box and a huge fish trophy. There's a second story but it's blocked by a spider with a rather large web.

In the graveyard, Scooby and Shaggy can find a large fish and a hammer. There's also a locked shed.

In the room full of mounted animal heads that become animated when something is in their line of sight, Scooby and Shaggy can find a tiny fish trophy. If Scooby and Shaggy line up the fish trophies they found to smallest to biggest the back wall with open up revealing a hidden passage.

Within a cave-like maze, Scooby and Shaggy can find a handkerchief, the Witch Doctor's mask, and Daphne all chained up. They unchain her and pocket the chain. Daphne says she’s been down here for hours before the Ghoul King finds them. The Ghoul King chases after Daphne but he drops an Iron Key which Scooby and Shaggy can pick up.

If Scooby and Shaggy go back to the graveyard they can use the iron key and unlock the shed. Within the shed, they can find a net and they can hear knocking coming from a coffin, but in order to open it, they would need something to remove the nails from it. Using the hammer they remove the nails from the coffin, freeing Fred. He suggests to find the others and hands them some bug spray, which he found in the casket. Shaggy tells him they also found Daphne and that the Ghoul King chased her away. Fred says he’ll find Daphne while they look for Velma and he reminds them to not forget to look for clues along the way. Within the casket, Scooby and Shaggy can find ladder rungs.

Using the bug spray on the spider in the main hall, they destroy both the spider and its web letting them access the second floor.

Within the clock tower, they can use ladder rungs to fix a broken ladder. Shaggy can climb up the ladder. On the second floor of the clock tower, Shaggy can find Tibetan chimes. On the third floor of the clock tower, Shaggy can find the Black Knight's helmet. On the fourth floor of the clock tower, Shaggy can find a small gear and Velma. Velma says she couldn’t get down due to the broken ladder. Shaggy then explains that all they need to do is find Daphne and Fred and get out of there. Velma then tells Shaggy to find a way out of the castle while she looks for the others before walking away.

In the hallway, the Ghoul King can chase Scooby and Shaggy through teleporting open doors until he slips and crashes into something.

In the bedroom, there's a monstrous Bed Monster bed-like creature who is very angry. Using the music box the duo can put the creature to sleep. In the bedroom, Scooby and Shaggy can find a painting and a newspaper.

At the top of the clock tower Scooby and Shaggy can find an oil can. Using the small gear on the tower they fix the mechanism, opening the gate at the draw bridge.

On the other side of the draw bridge by the mystery machine, they can find a gold key.

When they return to the main hall the entire gang is there. Daphne says that they have been looking for them. Shaggy explains he found the mystery machine and they can get out of the castle and Scooby agrees with him. Velma says they need to hold on since they still need to get to the bottom of this mystery. Fred asks if they can find any more clues or trap pieces.

Scooby and Shaggy can use the gold key to unlock a door on the second floor’s hallway.

In the Ghoul King’s lair, they can find a computer tape. If they enter the Ghoul King’s throne room at this point they run away before he can spot them.

(If Fred does not have all the clues and trap pieces) Shaggy tells the gang they found the Ghoul King. Fred says that's great now they just need to figure out what he’s up to and reminds them to find more clues or trap pieces.

(If Ghoul King is not found but Fred gets all the clues and trap pieces) Fred will say they just need to find the Ghoul King.

(If both conditions are true) Fred will say Scooby and Shaggy have done a great job. Fred says they should all meet up in the torture chamber since he has an idea to slip up their mysterious host.

At the torture chamber, Velma suggests they go over their plan again. Fred explains Scooby and Shaggy will lead the Ghoul King through the castle and into the torture chamber. Daphne adds by saying being careful not to slip on the oil she’ll place down. Velma further adds when the Ghoul King slips on the oil he’ll slip off the staircase and into this pit. Shaggy adds by telling where he and Scooby placed the net. Fred says they are ready to capture the Ghoul King. Velma tells Scooby and Shaggy to hurry back and Daphne tells them to be careful.

Scooby and Shaggy can now go back into the Ghoul King’s throne room where Shaggy asks the Ghoul King if he can ask a question. The Ghoul King turns his throne, and screams into their faces, and they both run out of the room chased by the Ghoul King. If they can lead him to the torture chamber Scooby and Shaggy will run down the stairs. The Ghoul King follows them before slipping and falling down into the pit where the net presumably is. Fred asks Velma to lower the chain and hook. The chain and hook go down and then hoist up an unmasked Rex Necros. Daphne seems confused that Fred knows who Rex Necros is. Velma explains that the newspaper Shaggy and Scooby found had an article on Rex Necros, an international criminal mastermind. Daphne figures out the paintings, the jewel, the masks, and all of those invoices were a part of his criminal web. Shaggy says all of those spooky and creepy things make Scooby and him hungry. Fred says it looks like a clever plan. Rex says he would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for them.

Outside the entire gang is inside the van. Fred says that was some mystery Velma says that Rex Nercos is going away into prison for a long time. Shaggy says they should celebrate with a sandwich and Scooby agrees. The van backs up as Daphne questions if they ever get full and Shaggy explains only when there's no more food. The van drives off as Scooby says his full name.
