Scooby Doo... Where Are You! (Gold Key Comics)[]
Shaggy works in a laboratory underneath Jerry Sloan's Comic Studio but gets fired after creating a large explosion. Jerry, seeing that shaggy is a fan, hires him to work in the studio as a clipping sorter.

Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (first series)[]
The Blue Scarab was a popular comic book about the eponymous superhero, and Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy were fans of it. It had been running for ten years by the time of the episode.
Suddenly the Blue Scarab character seemed to come to life and threatened the artist who drew the comic to stop working on it, before going on a crime spree to destroy his own reputation.
