The temple is a location reached through the Sitting room that holds statues of the Hunters of Secrets, the very first mystery-solving group, at its summit.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]
Season two[]
The gang stumbled across the temple when being chased by the Monstrous Freak. They found that Nova and the 'best half' of Horatio Kharon, who they had been searching for, had been hiding from the Freak there. It took the talisman that Kharon needed to be given from Velma after trying to grab her, but showed that it was vulnerable to a blinding light coming from the temple.
Fred orchestrated a trap that caught the Freak in a cage and dragged it back out towards the temple, where the blinding light caused it to transform into Fernando El Aguirre, who then confessed his intentions to make sure that no-one freed the Evil Entity to make sure he and his men continued to suffer.
As Fred (accompanied by Daphne) went to converse with his 'fake' father, Fred Jones, Sr., the rest of the gang, plus Nova and Kharon, ascended the steps of the temple to observe the statue of the Hunters of Secrets at the top. Nova explained their significance and relevance to the Evil Entity, as well as all of the other mystery solving groups that succeeded them. She then urged Scooby-Doo to 'find the Heart of the Jaguar' as they left the dream world and the sitting room to re-awake in Kharon's home.[1]
Appearances[]
- Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated
- 222. Nightmare in Red (dream)
Notes/trivia[]
- Given their absence during its reveal, it's possible that Fred and Daphne were never aware of the statues depicting the Hunters of Secrets being there, although they were obviously clued in on the Heart of the Jaguar and its significance by Scooby.
