Season one[]
The gang saw him sneaking out one night with an old Confederate soldier uniform, which made them suspect that he might've been masquerading as one of the Leland Brothers. But Taylor was ultimately proven innocent and, after the real culprits were apprehended, he explained that the uniform the gang saw him with was an old family heirloom.
Taylor explains that he had to sell it to help pay bills and the reason he was acting so secretive was because he was worried about his sister, Lorelei, finding out (and how she'd react). But Lorelei isn't mad at her brother and is actually very understanding of what he was (unfortunately) forced to do.
