Hyphen or not?[]
Many of Scooby-Doo's relatives have a hyphen in their name. Does she? --RockSunner 05:12, January 2, 2012 (UTC)
- Well, there's always Dooby Dooby Doo. But like I said, the spelling shown on a sign doesn't use it. Anyway, "Doo" is the family name, seperate from their 1st name, which is widely overlooked & even used randomly at times. The 1st time "Scooby-Doo" may have been used was in SDWAY's A Clue for Scooby Doo, but more formally it has been in use since The New Scooby-Doo Movies, but technically I think it should be "Scooby Doo" short for Scoobert Doo, not "Scoobert-Doo". Just like Norville Rogers is "Shaggy Rogers", not "Shaggy-Rogers".
- I would like to point that in WNSD's Homeward Hound Mr. B called Scooby, "Scooby Doobus", meaning "Scooby-Doo" could be a merger of "Scoobert Doobus". But then again it hasn't been used since so it probably isn't considered canon. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible 06:08, January 2, 2012 (UTC)
