Taffy is a sticky, chewy candy typically made by stretching or pulling a mixture of boiled sugar, butter and flavoring.

Taffy is revealed to be one of the products of the Sugar Plum Candy Company when the Green Globs turn on a machine that sends some coiling around Cass Elliot, Velma, Daphne and Fred. Unable to escape the "gunk," the group walks around as one big glob, scaring Scooby-Doo and Shaggy into thinking they're "purple goops." Shaggy later gets himself stuck in the taffy with the others, to which Fred tells him not to struggle because it'll only make it hold him more. After Cass says that even Scooby couldn't eat them out of it, and he agrees, the globs leave them alone, satisfied that it'll hold them for hours.
An attempt at a five-way stretch fails, but when they later try running as one (with Scooby now also stuck in it somehow), they trip onto a forklift which deposits them in a vat of liquid that frees them.
