A Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) was used as a mount by the Phantom Virus.

Physical appearance

The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a large theropod dinosaur with a large head, red violet scales, sharp teeth, a long tail, short arms with two clawed fingers on each hand, and stood on two feet with three clawed toes. In PlayStation game, it's skin is more pink rather than red.

Personality

The T-Rex was vicious and seemed intent on eating Mystery Inc., and it seemed to be allied with the Phantom Virus. In some continuity, the Phantom Virus even calls him a friend.

History

Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase

In the third level, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers saw the Phantom Virus riding on a T-Rex toward them. The gang made off through some very large trees, which the beast was unable to navigate due to its bulk. The Phantom Virus threw a spear at them but missed.

The gang escaped on Woolly Mammoths and headed to a volcano. There, they saw a trapped Baby Pterodactyl. The Phantom Virus and his T-Rex caught up with them but, again, were hampered by the steep volcano and its activity.

Scooby-Doo and Cyber Chase' (PlayStation)

The T-Rex acts as the main boss of Prehistoric Jungle. Scooby was able to beat him and the box of Scooby Snack was summoned which is required to beat the level.

Notes/Trivia

• The word Tyrannosaurus Rex means "Tyrant Lizard King". Although it may definitely look like a tyrant, it actually wasn't a lizard nor it was closely related.
