The storyteller was a large, tan-skinned Hawaiian man with grey hair and a yellow sunhat, whose shadow obscured some of the storyteller's face. He wore an unbuttoned red vest with a yellow starburst pattern on it, as well as white, knee-length pants.
Personality[]
The storyteller was an ominous, eccentric man, warning Mystery Inc. about a hostile island spirit and telling related scary stories.

Scooby-Doo! (DC Comics)[]
The storyteller was the cover of a real estate broker who posed as Heewanu, an island spirit that attacked tourists surfing on the ocean. The broker sold the nearby land to Fred's family friend, Walter, then when Mystery Inc. first arrived at the beach, he posed as a storyteller to warn them about Heewanu.
