Jones was a counterfeiter who pretended he was a deputy.
Physical appearance[]
Jones is a tall man with curly brown hair and a long mustache. He wore glasses, along with a light blue buttoned shirt that has two breast pockets, blue jeans with a brown belt and matching shoes.
Personality[]
He appeared rather concerned on the gangs safety and wanted to head home away from encountering dangerous counterfeiters in the area. However, it was all an act to hide his greed, but he did show some aggression when he and Smith went hostile on them in disguise.
History[]
Jones and Smith, two "special deputies" arrived down the trail via a car and met Mystery Inc. on their hike in the woods, after introducing himself, he explains that they wanted to arrive over to tell the gang to head back home for their own safety cause of the reported counterfeiters hiding somewhere in the area.
After getting denied, since the gang were intentionally also exploring the area for the counterfeiters, he and Smith later wore masks to hide their identities as Mean Caneen and Bad McFad, and they returned to their hideout containing the hidden counterfeit money to steal away from the gang, who ended up seeking shelter from a thunderstorm and found before their return.
The both of them searched the house for the gang, until he heard a noise from Shaggy and Scooby upstairs, but they slid past him on the banister before making it to the top. Eventually, the two counterfeiters were stopped by Shaggy pouring maple syrup and pancakes in their directions when they tried to escape with the money, and were arrested by a local ranger shortly after getting a message earlier from seeing Scooby jumping on the roof.
