Sojo was the bodyguard of Miss Mirimoto.
Physical appearance
Sojo is a tall and robust male with a pale complexion. He has grown facial hair from the ends of his upper lip and downward around his face, and has a big nose and small eyes. He also has a semi-muscular build.
Personality
He is absolutely loyal to Miss Mirimoto and he will do anything she tells him, without question.
He was rather violent. For instance, he grabbed Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo against their will and forced them into Karate clothes and held Mr. Takagawa against his will.
However, he doesn't appear too bright. He speaks rarely and when he does, he speaks in third person (for instance, 'Sojo walk to bridge.')

He is very strong.
History
Scooby-Doo! and the Samurai Sword
Sojo unmasked.
He dressed up as the Ghost of the Black Samurai as part of an elaborate scheme to get the Sword of Doom so that they could bring the real Black Samurai back to life and make it serve them.
After the Black Samurai was resurrected, he was blasted out of the armor, and rendering him unconscious.
