The Skeleton Men were the disguises of Dr. Grimsley and his two henchmen. They were hijacking Weather Eye planes and trying to sell them overseas illegally.
Physical appearance[]
They appear to be skeleton-patterned bodysuits with a cyclops eye. They all share the same color scheme: A yellow sclera, a purple basecoat for their bodysuits, and a light-blue skeleton pattern. They are gigantic in size - towering over Scooby and Shaggy.
Personality[]
They are bold, agile, and value teamwork. They also are training in synchronized actions such as swimming, underwater submarine door opening, and dodging.

The UFO appears to be swallowing the swift-moving weather plane.
On Diablo Island, located in the mysterious Bermuda Triangle and likely roughly 90 miles off the shore of the coast of Florida, Dr. Grimsely and his henchmen, Clement and Hank, set up a secret operation to steal weather planes, repaint them, and sell them overseas. Masquerading as a UFO during a hurricane, they fooled the FBI, CIA, and other major government organizations like the United States Navy into confusion when weather planes went missing. The UFO itself appears to have the capability of stopping a moving plane's velocity instantly - a technology unheard of, and possibly alien.
The Skeleton Men (Dr. Grimsely, Hank, and Clement) used a submarine with a projector they used to project the UFO. It is unknown where the submarine came from, but it is likely to be a stolen United States Navy asset. The Projector (see figure below) looks like a massive gun, and makes a loud, whirring noise when in use.
During their final confrontation with Mystery Inc., the Skeleton Men were snagged by Fred using a crane and placed into the dumpster. They were unmasked, and shortly thereafter incarcerated to Coolsville Penitentiary.

- Unlike many other disguises, the Skeleton Men didn't seem to use monster mask magic, as it was clear even before the unmasking that they were fakes.
- While there were three Skeleton Men in the cartoon, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed reduced them to two. While the cartoon version of the costumes was blue and white with yellow sclera and a black diamond-shaped pupil, the film version was just black and white with a mask with white sclera and black diamond-shaped pupils.
- One of the Skeleton Men's roars was reused for Shaggy's werewolf form in Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.
