Shreako is one of the Boo Brothers, a group of three ghosts who act as incompetent ghost-busters.

Physical appearance[]

Shreako resembles a humanoid, with a thin ghostly white and translucent body, a beak-like nose, and a tail-like end. He wears a green aviator's cap.

Personality[]

Shreako is somewhat goofy and mischievous. He is prone to pulling pranks and making wise-cracking puns, which often leads Freako to resort slapstick violence on him. Despite this, he is nonetheless kind, and tries to help Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy on getting rid of ghosts.

Powers and abilities[]

Being a ghost, Shreako can fly and pass through walls, as well as telephone lines. He can also turn his head into a lightbulb and turn into a floating head for his "scary face" act. He's also pretty good at playing the piano.

History[]

Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers[]

Shreako and his two brothers were hired by Shaggy Rogers, Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo as ghost exterminators to rid the Beauregard mansion of the multiple ghosts. However, Shreako's mischievous antics and frequent bickering with Freako prevented them from doing their jobs properly, so Shaggy got fed up and fired them. Having failed their jobs, Shreako and his brothers tearfully revealed that they were orphans and they needed the job so they could earn money to get their own place. Shaggy reconsidered and rehired them, but told them they had to "shape up or ship out." Eventually, they saved Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy's lives, lifting their sunken boat out of the water and preventing them from drowning, and got the three back to the house in time to catch T.J. Buzby before he stole the treasure. Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy left the Beauregard house to them, so they finally got their own house.

Quotes[]

Shreako: Have no fear, Shreako is here!

Notes/trivia[]

  • Shreako is supposed to be a parody of Curly Howard of the Three Stooges, because of the voice, personality, and the "Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk" catchphrase.
  • At one point, when he says What's up Doc? is a nod reference to Bugs Bunny's catchphrase.
  • Shreako briefly recites Revolutionary Étude by Chopin on the piano, albeit in a slightly quicker tempo.
