Shaggy Werewolf was the magical transformation of Shaggy Rogers. He was transformed against his will and only wanted to get himself and his friends back home.

Physical appearance

In his transformed state, his skin is covered in brown fur, he has claws on his hands and feet, and has a wolf-like muzzle. His shoes end up torn at the toes and his hair becomes more messier and thicker. His eyes gain red irises and his teeth have elongated into sharp fangs. At one point in the drive-in, he had a medium length tail.

Shaggy's werewolf personality is no different than him in his human self. The only notable differences is that he possesses a few wolf quirks, like howling after his girlfriend, Googie, kisses him. During his initial transformations in the car, Shaggy was seen growling and roaring before being changed back due to his hiccups.

Powers and abilities

Very qualified driver, capable of coming out on top, even when things seem to be against him.

Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf

Shaggy was turned into a werewolf and forced to compete in Dracula's race. When he was finally turned into a werewolf, Shaggy had a case of the hiccups, which caused him to change between human form and werewolf form every time he hiccuped. Dracula referred to him as a revertible werewolf in the case, and ordered the Hunch Bunch to fix the hiccups fast. During his captivity in Transylvania, Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy and Googie tried a few attempts to escape from the castle with little success. Dracula later made a deal that if Shaggy drove in the race and won, he would return Shaggy to normal, albeit had no intention of doing so. With the help of his friends, Shaggy managed to win the Monster Road Race, retrieve the Grimness book from Dracula, and return to normal.

Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island

Velma Dinkley had somehow obtained photos of Shaggy Werewolf and added it to her unsolved cases section of her blog.[1]

  • In the What's New, Scooby-Doo? episode A Scooby-Doo Halloween, Shaggy appears briefly in a werewolf costume similar to one in the film. This is briefly visible when he and Scooby were away from the gang and take a joke picture with their robot pursuants.
  • The roars were reused from the Mirror Monster's roars from the previous film Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School.
  • Due to being transformed against his will, Shaggy is classified as an involuntarly werewolf.
