Shaggy & Velma (SDMI)

Velma feels the hots on Shaggy.

Shaggy Rogers and Velma Dinkley are members in Mystery Incorporated who were briefly in a romantic relationship that caused a rift between each other and Scooby-Doo.

Dynamic[]

Like most incarnations, Shaggy and Velma are very close. However, during the first half of season 1, the two were in a romantic relationship and not a very healthy one. Velma would constantly want to change Shaggy and pressure him to choose her over Scooby. Shaggy wasn't much better, as he wasn't as involved as he should have been in a relationship, and wanted to hide their relationship from Scooby to spare his feelings. When Shaggy broke up with Velma after realizing how much Scooby needed him, this left Velma heartbroken and caused her to be a little cold towards Shaggy for some time, but as time passed, she managed to let go of her anger and become friendly with him. While the two later appeared to have chemistry again, with Shaggy wanting to give their relationship another try, Velma thought it would be better if they remained friends, which saddened Shaggy but he get over his interest in her quickly. The two then remained friends, and their relationship became a lot stronger.
