Shag-Borg was a robot made by Malcolm McDowell to impersonate a future version of Shaggy Rogers.

Physical appearance[]

Shag-Borg is a cyborg resembling Shaggy Rogers, having brown hair, an oblong face, and a dark-green T-shirt with a tattered sleeve. He also wears a pair of red pants and black shoes. However, unlike Shaggy, he wears a silver eyepiece over his left eye, having a glowing red light in the place of the eye. He also wears a chestplate covering the upper half of his body and a robotic right arm.

Personality[]

While Shaggy is cowardly and frequently expresses fear of monsters, Shag-Borg is much bolder and braver. While he is friendly and gets along well with Shaggy, he stood up to the oppressive Robo Dooby Doo and participated in battle. He is ultimately concerned with defending Mystery Inc., whom his enemy attempted to exterminate. As such, he can be considered more heroic than his counterpart, though they reconciled in an alternate timeline and became friends. He shares Shaggy's speech patterns, using words such as "like" as a filler word and "zoinks" as an interjection.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Laser beams: Shag-Borg's robotic right arm is capable of transforming into a ray gun, which is capable of firing a rapid sequence of small laser beams, as well as a single, concentrated light ray. This larger ray is approximately equal in power to Robo Dooby Doo's fire beams, as the two beams battled to a standstill.
  • Defense: Shag-Borg was unharmed after being hit in chest by Robo Dooby Doo's fire beam. Though he was knocked back, he was not visibly harmed in any way.

History[]

Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]

Season one[]

Shag-Borg was an animatronic created by actor Malcolm McDowell as part of his time travel simulation. In the simulation, Shag-Borg was a cyborg in the year 4545 who stood up against his adversary, Robo Dooby Doo. He was first seen rescuing Mystery Inc. from his enemy's army, eliminating the army with rapid-fire laser beams. They then engaged in an intense duel, but Shaggy and Scooby stopped the battle by vowing to remain friends for eternity, creating an alternate timeline in which Robo Dooby Doo and Shag-Borg were friends instead of bitter enemies.

Later, after all events were revealed to be a mere simulation, Robo Dooby Doo and Shag-Borg stole the Mystery Machine and drove it away.
