The Seaweed Monster was the disguise of Red Herring, Coolsville's young troublemaker.
Physical appearance[]
Its a monster covered entirely (except for its legs) in seaweed with a pair of red eyes.
Personality[]
Just like almost all of his disguises, Red used it in apart of his act in easily scaring the gang.

Season one[]
Red Herring reveals himself.
When Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo went to go for a quick surf before going into the Marine Institute, the Seaweed Monster rose from the ocean, scaring the entire gang; until Daphne Blake saw the bottom of its legs, which hadn't been covered, and instantly recognized them as belonging to Red Herring, who followed them to the beach.
