Sean Astin is an American actor, producer and director. He is best known for his work on the films The Goonies and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the TV web series Stranger Things. He is also the voice of the titular Disney Playhouse series Special Agent Oso, Raphael in Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (co-starring Seth Green and Rob Paulsen), and the narrator in the Animal Planet documentary Meerkat Manor.
Astin played himself in an episode of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? and his adoptive father is John Astin.
