Scooby-Nocchio is the first part of the first episode of the second season of The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show.
Premise[]
The guys are at the movies watching Pinocchio, where Scooby bumps into a man offering free tickets to Pleasure Island Carnival, where Scooby's nose grows after he lies and the guys start to turn into donkeys.
Synopsis[]
Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy are at a movie theater to see "Pinocchio". Scooby goes out to get some popcorn but has trouble with the machine. Scooby then meets with a strange man who offers him free tickets to Pleasure Island. He tells Scooby to not tell his friends where he got them.
Later, the guys are having fun at the amusement park. Shaggy asks Scooby where he got the tickets. Scooby replies that he found them, only for his nose to grow due to telling a fib. It gets worse for Scooby when he eats Shaggy's cotton candy and lies that he didn't eat it.
Scooby's nose grows longer and longer until it reaches a bullseye at the dart stall. The same man who offered Scooby the tickets gives Scooby a donkey doll as a prize. Shaggy suddenly realizes what is going on and that they have been taken. Suddenly, the guys' ears grow into donkey ears and start braying (due to making fools of themselves), showing that they are going to be turned into donkeys and the man reveals his true colors. They escape with the man chasing them. Scooby tries to get away only for the man to capture him by his really long nose. Scooby screams for help only to awaken back at the theater. Shaggy and Scrappy told him that he just got his nose caught in a popcorn box the whole time.
Turned out that Scooby slept through the whole movie and the whole adventure was only a dream. The three friends leave when Scooby runs into what seems to be the same man from his nightmare. When the man offers free tickets for something, Scooby, not wanting to go through the same fiasco again, runs away.

- Pinocchio (1883) by Carlo Collodi is a public domain book, but the 1940 Walt Disney movie is under copyright. It is clear that they are watching the Disney version by the references to Pleasure Island. In the book, the island was called il Paese dei Balocchi (the Land of Toys).
Notes/trivia[]
- Daphne, Fred and Velma's silhouettes are now removed from the title card, which makes this the first episode in the franchise to not feature them in some shape or form. Despite this, they are still present, retroactively, in the opening theme featured in streaming services and on home media.
