Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School has been released on VHS, DVD and Blu-Ray, as well as Digital Download. The first VHS was released on October 5, 1989. The second VHS and the DVD were both released by Warner Home Entertainment, on March 6, 2001 and June 4, 2002 respectively. The Blu-Ray was released on February 27, 2024, both individually and as part of the Hanna-Barbera's Superstars 10 box set.

- Scrappy-Doo is left out of all images on the box and is not mentioned in the product description.
- Of the five girls who serve as supporting characters, three are left off the cover; Phantasma, Sibella and Winnie.
- On the front cover Shaggy features his green shirt rather than his red shirt as shown in the actual movie. This is also the case for the home video releases for Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers and Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf.
