Scooby-Doo, Where's The Crew? is the thirteenth episode of the first season of The Scooby-Doo Show.

Premise

The gang goes on a cruise aboard the "Sea Prowler" and come into contact with the Ghost of Captain Pescado, the Octopus Monster, and the Kelp Monster after their professor disappears.

Captain Pescado Crew

Synopsis

The gang boards the ship, "Sea Prowler", after being invited by world famous oceanographer, Professor Poisson. He was assigned by a museum to recover some lost treasure from a sunken ship, "Diablo Doro". Captain Carr warns the gang that Diablo Doro is gaurded heavily by the ghost of Captain Pescado and a group of sea monsters. Just before everyone is about to turn in for the night, Scooby, Shaggy, and Fred see Captain Pescado, as well as a kelp and octopus creature outside their window. Daphne and Velma join them and try to find the ghosts, who have come aboard. They are chased and then go to tell Professor Poisson. While they are there, Captain Carr arrives with two other crew members, to tell them they are leaving due to the ghosts.

The next day, the gang finds the Professor missing and his room ransacked. In the professor's room, they find a paper with a secret code on it, their first clue. The gang splits up, but ends up getting locked in whatever rooms they are searching. They eventually find ways out, and discover Captain Carr's boat floating nearby, covered in seaweed. Velma heads to the radio room to make a distress call. They are then chased by the ghosts. Fred and Daphne head to the diving room, where they find see Captain Pescado heading back to the Diablo Doro. The gang decides to put on their scuba gear and follow him. Down at the shipwreck, Velma discovers several air tanks, another clue. Scooby crashes into a room, where they find all of the hidden treasure, but are chased away by Captain Pescado and the sea monsters back up to the Sea Prowler. Fred devises a sceme to trap the three ghosts. Velma discovers that the monsters were'nt guarding the treasure, but stealing it to bring ashore by using metal detectors.

First Mate Carp, McFinn, and McGill

They capture the ghosts, who turn out to be Captain Carr and his two henchman. They had locked up Professor Poisson and he had written a note identifying who the ghosts were (the first clue). The coast guard arrives and arrests them.
