Scooby-Doo, Dog Wonder! is the twenty fifth episode of season 2 of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? and the fifty first overall.
Premise[]
While they are investigating the theft of priceless vases by a Medusa monster, the gang teams up with Dynomutt when the Blue Falcon is kidnapped and seemingly turned to stone.
Synopsis[]
Mystery Inc. helps an antique dealer, Timothy Smallbottoms, protect his vases at his mansion from a Medusa Monster that had been stealing vases. Smallbottoms contacts buyer Radley Crown, who had been attempting to purchase the vases from him to no avail. However, when Smallbottoms leaves the room to fix a circuit breaker, Mystery Inc. later finds him turned to stone by the Medusa Monster. The monster then chases Mystery Inc. around the mansion before being warded off by superheroes Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.
While Blue Falcon appreciates Mystery Inc.'s efforts to stop the Medusa Monster, he asks them to cease their investigation, deeming the monster too dangerous for them. Mystery Inc. decides to disregard his advice by investigating Radley Crown as a primary suspect. Learning Radley Crown had acquired a vase to display at an art event, they decide to infiltrate the event by posing as waiters. However, the monster attacks the event, and while Blue Falcon and Dynomutt arrive to confront the monster, the Medusa Monster kidnaps Blue Falcon. Devastated by the loss of his leader, Dynomutt decides to collaborate with Mystery Inc. to continue their investigations, naming Scooby his sidekick, Doo Wonder.
Using the evidence Blue Falcon and Dynomutt already collected, Mystery Inc. returns to the museum for further investigation. They speak with the museum curator, who also suspects Radley Crown for his behaviour in the museum. Though Dynomutt attempts to drive the Falconcar to their next crime scene, he accidentally crashes the vehicle into a ceramics warehouse.
There, a warehouse worker adds to Mystery Inc.'s suspicions of Radley Crown, explaining Crown had asked her to make a delivery to a peculiar location. She gives them the address, where Mystery Inc. travels to and finds the stone statue of Blue Falcon. When Dynomutt accidentally knocks it over and breaks it, Velma discovers it is made with cement, not stone. This leads them to the Smallbottoms Family's cement company located just next to the museum. At the location, they find the vases that had been stolen by the Medusa Monster. However, the monster suddenly appears.
The monster chases them around the cement factory and accidentally presses a button which turns on one of the machines. Mystery Inc. gets the idea to turn on the other machines and use them to cover the Medusa Monster with cement. The cement hardens, capturing the monster. They then find and free Blue Falcon, who was locked in a room rather than being turned to stone.
The Medusa Monster turned out to be Smallbottoms, and with this revelation Velma deduces Radley Crown is really Blue Falcon. Smallbottoms sold vases on the black market to evade taxes, and when he ran out of his own vases, he used the Medusa Monster to steal vases from others. After Smallbottoms is handed over to authorities for his crimes, Mystery Inc. meets with Radley Crown, where Velma privately reveals to him she has discovered his identity as Blue Falcon, but will not reveal it to others.
