Episode 3 is the third and final case of the video game, Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Swamp.
Premise[]
Shaggy and Scooby are forced to take the gang through the Swamp and see Lila but there are some secrets looming in the swamp.
Synopsis[]
Intro[]
The gang returns from Howling Peaks with Shaggy begging them not to come because it will endanger the feast. Fred states that they just want to meet Lila. However, Shaggy and Scooby are sad about this.
Plot[]
Fred, Daphne, and Velma tell Shaggy and Scooby to go on ahead first since they have some stuff to take care of. Shaggy and Scooby go through the swamp solving puzzles and following Lila's scent. They soon get a call from the rest of the gang saying they have already arrived at Lila's lair. When Shaggy and Scooby show up, Daphne states that the lair is creepy, Fred is excited to meet their new friend, while Velma is still suspicious about Lila.
When the gang arrives, Fred tries to introduce themselves to Lila, but Lila asks if Shaggy and Scooby brought the Mushroom, which they excitedly bring to her. She puts the Mushroom in the cauldron just as Velma protests. Then suddenly, a giant alligator appears out of nowhere and attacks the gang. Shaggy recognizes the alligator as the swamp monster lurking through the swamp. A fight happens where Shaggy and Scooby fight off the alligator with a watermelon catapult and spiked vines. Lila then advises them to through some ingredients into her cauldron, which makes the alligator eat the food and go back into the water.
After the fight, Fred finds a note addressed from Anna to Daphne along with other notes addressed to them, while Velma finds their phone number on a pin-up board with photos of them. Velma finally realizes that it was Lila who made the phone call pretending to be Costington and wrote the letters to the gang pretending to be Anna. Lila explains that she needed help and was afraid that the gang wouldn't believe her. Lila's family moved away a long time ago, but she had to stay with her pet alligator Suji (who was the giant alligator that Shaggy and Scooby fought). She needs food from the swamp so Lila has been trying for so long to make something to take with her so Suji could come to. Lila is grateful to the gang for helping her and asks them to forgive Suji for attacking them claiming that she's just very protective. As Lila and Suji are leaving, Lila throws a Scooby snack into her cauldron, making it burst out food. The story ends with Shaggy and Scooby gathering as much food as they can.
