Scooby-Doo! The Pyramid Mystery is a children's pop-up book published by Dalmatian Press in 2002.

Premise

Mystery Inc. helps find a tribal chief's kidnapped daughter.

Synopsis

The Mystery Machine runs out of gas as the gang drives through a tropical forest. Proceeding on foot, they stumble across a village where an ancient ceremony is being performed to help locate the chief's kidnapped daughter. He explains to the gang that she has been kidnapped by the legendary Monkey Bandit and held for ransom.

With the theory being that the Monkey Bandit's taken her to a nearby pyramid, the gang investigate, where they manage to pry open an old door, despite a nearby warning reading, "Those who dare to enter here shall be overcome by fear". A horde of rats run past them as they enter, at which time the door slams shut, locking behind them. Luckily, they discover Maya inside, who helps them look for an exit.

In their search, Daphne pulls a lever which opens a secret door where the Monkey Bandit is tangled in vines. The gang take him back to the chief where Shaggy reveals him to be the Medicine Man. In appreciation, the chief celebrates with a large feast.
