Samson the Strongman is a member of Mr. Barnstorm's circus.
Physical appearance[]
He is a big, tall, bulky, and muscular man. He is bald, but has a thin black handlebar mustache in an old-fashioned European style, and also a prominent wide jawbone. He wears a blue bodysuit, along with black boots and black wristbands.
Personality[]
He seems very cheerful and positive, but despite his impressive physical build, he feared the Ghost Clown.
Skills and abilities[]
Being a powerlifter, he can lift just about anything.
History[]
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]
Season one[]
The gang saw Samson and Max the Midget's tandem bike split in half and crash, which left Samson dazed and Max hanging from a tree branch. After Scooby saved Max from falling, the pair explained that they had just left the circus they were working at because they thought it was jinxed. They advised the gang to leave the area lest they be affected by the jinx, too.
After the gang solved the mystery and the circus began operating normally again, Samson returned to perform his strongman act. He did a special variation of his routine in which he lifted a trick weight that had hollowed out compartments containing Shaggy and Scooby, who popped out to the cheers of the crowd.

Samson also appears in the videogame, Scooby-Doo! Who's Watching Who? as Samson S. Samson, Candy Quality Control Representative of Sugarland. In both PC and DS versions, a culprit, who became the Ghost Clown to attract the GSI team and expose how badly Sylvester Sweetsugar (Edgar Norbert Diffendork) was treating the workers.

- Samson's name and physical build allude to the mythological Samson, known for his prodigious superhuman strength (which has fully robbed of him when Delilah gave him a haircut).
