Sal's is a pizzeria in Coolsville. It rivalled Dino D'Onofrio's pizzeria before the two restaurants merged.

Mystery Inc. visited Sal's pizzeria, but learned a rival restaurant, Dino's, had been threatening to shut Sal's business down, copying Sal's recipes but with canned ingredients. They also learn of a pizza monster that had been terrorizing the kitchen, so they offer to run the restaurant while they investigate the attacks. Though they initially suspected the restaurant's rival, Dino D'Onofrio, for the crime, they eventually exposed Sal for using the disguise to sabotage his own restaurant, wanting an excuse to retire.
However, later, Sal made a deal with D'Onofrio to merge the two restaurants together, splitting the profits while running their businesses separately; while Dino's managed takeout orders, Sal's remained a sit-down restaurant. Meanwhile, Sal partially retired, spending half each year on vacation in Italy.
