- Velma's fear of water was established in All Paws on Deck.
- Shaggy makes an indirect reference to Mitchell Simons pretending to be the Ghost of Elias Kingston to scare away all the new students of Kingston University, which happened in Mystery 101.
Notes/trivia
- This episode is set during Mardi Gras, although unlike the What's New, Scooby-Doo? episode, Big Scare in the Big Easy, the gang doesn't take part (at least not under normal circumstances).
