Robbie Kumbazi is a Malawian ship captain who took safari tourists in his boat, the Capetown Katie, prior to its destruction.
Physical appearance[]
Kumbazi is a thin, bald African man wearing a red bandana and a blue captain's cap with a black visor. He wears a blue, V-neck T-shirt, beige shorts, white socks, and brown boots.
Personality[]
Kumbazi is a friendly ship captain who guided Mystery Inc. through the jungle to rescue animals. Despite being rich from owning a uranium field, he chooses to continue working as a ship captain, claiming the job fills his soul. However, even though he assisted Mystery Inc., he tried to hide his uranium field from them, withholding a map from them.

Season one[]
Kumbazi brought Mystery Inc. on a safari in the Malawian jungle, riding the Capetown Katie down the Ocuzi River. However, he expressed concern toward the plummeting animal populations, as well as jungle demons spotted on the river's west bank. He brought Mystery Inc. down the river, but due to the strong rapids the ship fell over the top of Kamahara Falls. Though he survived, Daphne and Velma caught him with a map despite claiming it was destroyed in the crash. Kumbazi admitted he had a uranium field funding his lifestyle, but he still works as a captain as a passion. Mystery Inc. continued to work with him, eventually rescuing poached animals and exposing Henry and Honey Hunsecker for poaching them, as well as masterminding the jungle demon attacks.
