Scoobypedia

Reincarnation Ruckus! is the second of two stories in Scooby-Doo #7, by DC Comics. It was preceded by The Ogre of O'Hare.

Premise[]

Returning home to Coolsville, Mystery Inc. exposes a scam by "Madame Regresso," who seems to be able to uncover their past lives.

Synopsis[]

Mystery Inc. returns to Coolsville, but discovers that the citizens are all wearing bizarre costumes. Daphne's father reveals that a psychic, Madame Regresso, has appeared in town, revealing people's past lives. The citizens are wearing costumes reflecting their past selves, such as Daphne's father dressed as a pirate. So, Mystery Inc. visits Madame Regresso, believing her to be a fraud.

Madame Regresso shows a "vision screen" depicting each member of Mystery Inc.'s past lives. She reveals Shaggy's past life to be detective Jack Bivouac, Velma to be art forgery detective Trudy Stinestein, Fred to be a Stone Age warrior named the Lord of the Jungle, Daphne to be ancient Greek warrior Atalanta, and Scooby to be the Saber-Toothed Dane, a prehistoric hunter. Suddenly, Scooby smells chips and follows the scent behind the vision screen, revealing it to be a computer simulation.

Madame Regresso is unmasked and revealed to be Mr. Cody, the owner of a costume shop. Cody used the disguise and pretended to be a psychic to sell costumes to his clients. Cody and his accomplice are handed to authorities, and Daphne's father commends Mystery Inc. for exposing them.
