Quitchyhupo was a mythological creature that was supposed to live on in a volcano on an island, Dr. Phineus Phibes was planning to blow up. It may just stem from Agent 2's wild imagination, though. During the mission to stop Phibes, Shaggy Rogers devised a plan to make the Zoinksman suit look like the Quitchyhupo.
Physical appearance[]
It was described as a "giant" pygmy bat (which is a contradiction, further adding to it just being Agent 2's imagination and not giving it any thought). It had feathers, wings, and talons.
Personality[]
Shaggy was able to convince everyone that the monster was extremely violent by pretending he had been fatally wounded by it.

Shaggy used feathers to decorate the costume and make it more monster-like, and came in covered with fake blood from a ketchup bottle. Dr. Phibes and his superstitious agents fell for it, allowing Shaggy to rescue Scooby-Doo, and also prevent Phibes from carrying out his plan to detonate a large volcano and cause "nuclear winter."

- Scaring criminals with a bat-like monster may be a spoof on the old Batman quote, "Criminals are a cowardly, superstitious lot."
