While participating in a dig in Central America, he invites one of his pupils, Daphne Blake, and her friends to join him. Although he is ridiculed by his peers, Prof. Peabody believes the legends of local natives regarding an undiscovered Mayan pyramid, which are proven to be real. Unfortunately, a cat creature guarding the pyramid keeps him away, until Mystery Incorporated is able to solve the mystery. Once the mystery is solved, he is able to return to the temple and its treasure.
