Professor Huh? Part 1 is the twenty-fifth episode of season 2 of Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!, and the fifty-first overall.
Premise[]
The gang investigates the mysterious Professor Huh?, who pits them against another rival gang led by a childhood friend of Fred.
Synopsis[]
Mystery Inc. is summoned to Global Financial Bank and Trust, a very high-security bank, where they are informed of a recent break-in. While nothing was stolen, an envelope of photos was left on President Moon's desk, and the message is cryptic and random. To investigate the crime, Moon had already hired Rose, who solved crimes with Fred in their childhood, but Rose's group summoned Mystery Inc. to the bank. Fred and Rose both recognize the crime as the work of Professor Huh?, an extremely elusive and high-profile criminal from their childhood.
Mystery Inc. travels to Darkbrook Maximum Security Prison, where Fred, Daphne, and Velma confirm that Professor Huh? has escaped from his cell. They also find, to their shock, that the true identity of Professor Huh? is Donald Jones, Fred's father. Since his arrest, Fred tried to sever ties with his father. Searching the cell, they find letters addressed to Professor Huh? from Fred, but they are forgeries as Fred did not write them. Suddenly, Rose's group appears, suspecting Fred aided his father in escaping from prison. Meanwhile, Shaggy and Scooby encounter Professor Huh? running a small pretzel stand just outside the prison.
As the two groups reunite, Professor Huh? attacks them on the road inside the Mystery Machine, only to disappear from Shaggy and Scooby's pursuit immediately after. Finding a subway ticket in the Mystery Machine after, they travel to the nearest subway station to investigate. Meeting Rose's group, they find Rose has used the streetlight cameras to catch Professor Huh? inside the Mystery Machine, adding to her evidence incriminating Fred. Inside a train, they find an orange marker, but the train, driven by Professor Huh? leaves the station. Professor Huh? attacks them, but they escape by climbing onto the train and jumping on top of an oncoming train.
Velma begins to decode the clues, discovering that Professor Huh?'s next target was the launchpad of Global Financial Bank and Trust's upcoming satellite launch. They stop Professor Huh? attempting to tamper with the panels, chasing them onto a gangway, but Rose's group appears, distracting Fred and allowing Professor Huh? to escape on the rocket. Rose's group arrives with the authorities, having gathered enough evidence to arrest Fred. She reveals that in his childhood, Fred discovered evidence his father was Professor Huh?, but chose to withheld it as he could not bear reporting his own father to the police. Rose orders the police officers to arrest Mystery Inc., but they escape on the rocket. The rocket launches with Professor Huh? and Mystery Inc. on it, and Rose vows to capture them.

Fred: Listen Rose, this is my father so this is now my mystery. The bank might have hired you, but I'm on this case now too. So may the best detective win! |
Professor Huh?: Happy Arbor Day. Coconut! |
(Professor Huh? has just removed Scooby and Shaggy's eyebrows with a croissant and put them on their shoulders) |
Fred: Sorry gang. Maybe Rose is right, maybe I'm not thinking clearly because we're dealing with my father. Or worse, maybe I am just as nutty as he is. |
