Pole to Pole is the eleventh episode of the first season of Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!

Premise[]

In order to gain immortality, Dr. Phibes plans on setting off an EMP bomb at the end of the "Polar Bear 3000" race which will destroy all electronics across the world, so Shaggy and Scooby enter the race to foil his plan. However, they discover that Phibes had planted the device in the Mystery Machine. Therefore, they go back in time to stop it.

Synopsis[]

Shaggy, Scooby, and Robi play a car-racing video game, but Robi receives a message from Uncle Albert, informing them of another one of Phibes' plans. Phibes has developed an EMP bomb he intends to plant at the finish line of the Polar Bear 3000 car race. If detonated, the explosive would destroy all electronics worldwide, making Phibes the most powerful person in the world, and he would use this power to force scientists to do his bidding. As Phibes sends Agents 1 and 2 to plant the explosive, Albert tasks Shaggy and Scooby with joining the race to stop them.

Agents 1 and 2 see Shaggy and Scooby at the race and inform Phibes of their presence, who prepares a counter-strategy. Shaggy and Scooby enter the race and win, but realize that Agent 13 had planted a second EMP bomb in the trunk of the Mystery Machine so Shaggy and Scooby would unknowingly bring it to the finish line. As the bomb detonates, all technology in the world stops working except in Phibes' lair, and Robi shuts off, though he tells them to search the mansion's toolshed.

Shaggy and Scooby mourn Robi's "death," but get the idea to travel back in time, just like resetting a character in a video game. Scooby eats several super-speed Scooby Snacks, allowing him to travel faster than the speed of light, which allows him to travel back in time. They inform their past selves about the bomb hidden in the Mystery Machine. The future Shaggy and Scooby then takes the bomb away from their past selves, allowing them to finish the race without the bomb exploding. They then pose as delivery men and deliver it to Phibes' fortress, causing it to detonate in his house. Shaggy and Scooby then return to the present as their past selves celebrate their victory.
