Perry Putnam is the mayor of Littlefield.

Physical appearance[]

Putnam is a plump, balding, and middle-aged man with dark brown hair. He wears a blue suit over a white shirt, blue pants, and a red tie.

Personality[]

Putnam's policies can be described as fiscally conservative as he vetoes bills looking to fund the arts. He has very little respect for art and music, openly mocking artists such as Violet Oberon. Velma disagrees with his politics as she believes his refusal to invest in the arts has led to Littlefield becoming uncultured. However, despite his policies, he was not criminal as he did not resort to illegal means to win the election.

Be Cool, Scooby-Doo![]

Season two[]

The incumbent mayor of Littlefield, Putnam ran for reelection, but all his opponents, such as Joe McGrath, withdrew from the race as they were attacked by the ghost of the town's founder, Amos Littlefield. As such, Velma ran for mayor against Putnam to investigate the ghost. Suspecting him, Mystery Inc. snuck into his office in the town hall and discovered that Putnam, if reelected, would veto a bill funding the arts in Littlefield. When Putnam caught them, Daphne challenged Putnam to a public debate.

At the debate, Mystery Inc. caught the ghost in a trap and exposed the town's only artist, Violet Oberon, as the culprit. Oberon used the disguise to help Putnam win so she could maintain a commercial monopoly of the town's art. However, the public condemned her actions, including Putnam. Velma withdrew from the mayoral race but endorsed McGrath to oppose Putnam.
