Penelope Pitstop is the heiress of a vast family fortune.

Physical appearance[]

Penelope is an attractive young woman (presumably in her early 20’s) with a slim figure and long blonde hair tied in a ponytail. She wears a hot pink long-sleeved jacket with a matching belt and long magenta scarf, which is hanging loose on the right side, red pants, white gloves and matching boots, and a magenta pilot helmet with white goggles.

Personality[]

She's usually depicted as a damsel in distress and speaks in a southern girl accent. She's constantly getting kidnapped by the Hooded Claw, but sometimes she's able to escape the traps the Hooded Claw makes thanks to her ingenuity. It's also implied that she also had a crush on her guardian, Sylvester, hence her complete shock when she saw Sylvester and the Hooded Claw were the same person. Penelope is very kind, bubbly, sweet-natured, and friendly.

History[]

Early life[]

She used to be a race car driver along with the Ant Hill Mob until she retired due to her fortune. The Ant Hill Mob saw fit to protect her ever since most of which involving rescuing her from the villainous Hooded Claw (who was actually her guardian, Sylvester Sneekly)

Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon[]

Two teenaged girls cosplayed as Penelope Pitstop at the Mega Mondo Pop Comic Con-A-Palooza.

Scooby-Doo! Team-Up[]

During another confrontation between her and the Hooded Claw, the Mystery Inc. initially thought the Anthill Mob were the villains due to their past as mobsters. Eventually the two groups set aside their differences and helped stop the Hooded Claw where Fred unmasked him as Sylvester Sneekly much to Penelope's shock.

Appearances[]

Notes/trivia[]

  • Her relationship with the Ant Hill Mob is modelled after Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Appearances in other media[]

Penelope Pitstop was one of the stars of Hanna-Barbera's Wacky Races on CBS, co-starring another Ant Hill Mob. She was then giving her own spin-off show, The Perils of Penelope Pitstop. Both times she was voiced by Janet Waldo.
