- This article is about the character in the DTV, Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico. For the character in the Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! episode How to Train Your Coward, see Paco (How to Train Your Coward).
Paco was supposed to be seen as a magical eagle, but was just a robot operated by Mr. Smiley to chase Mystery Inc. out of Veracruz, Mexico.
Physical appearance[]
Paco was a grey and white animatronic eagle with a yellow sombrero and a red and yellow poncho. He also had black hair and a large orange beak.
Personality[]
He first was shown to be enthusiastic and a bit annoying (as well as having the worst Spanish accent ever, according to Alejo Otero). He was also shown to be extremely hostile and manipulative, lying to the local tourists and tricking them into ganging up on the gang.
Powers and abilities[]
- Flight: His little wings allowed him to fly.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico[]
After Mystery Inc. and the Otero brothers watched the statue crumble, Paco appeared and accused them of breaking the ancient monument of the temple. Paco then convinced the tourists to chase them away, lest the Gods themselves seek revenge.
He was later seen flying until he was startled by the dragon-like creature and plummeted down into the same tree that Shaggy & Scooby were hiding in. Seeing Paco again, Shaggy and Scooby angrily attacked and threw him to the ground, where a horrified Paco was viciously mauled by the mural pumas.
After the gang had escaped, a damaged Paco appeared again, before he malfunctioned and fell to the ground. This made Velma suspicious about the magical eagle. Shaggy was later seen with Paco when Mr. Smiley was exposed.
