Opal Joe was a miner.
Physical appearance[]
Joe is a short, middle-aged man with gray hair connected to a beard, he wore a blue cap, a red shirt with a checkered pattern underneath blue overalls.
Personality[]
He was seemingly busy and didn't want to talk much about the Ghost situation going on once Big Bruce took over the conversation, but was actually a greedy little man looking for getting the shiny Opal gems.
History[]
Scooby-Doo! World of Mystery[]
Both him, and Bruce greeted themselves to the gang when they arrived at the Coober Pedy, he explained to them about the mines being terrorized by the Ghost of a soldier from the first World War. Bruce then took over with the rest of the conversation which led him leave and "go back to work".
Joe unmasked.
He dressed up as the Ghost Soldier to scare people away so he could steal opals, he varied his disguise a couple times because he stole clothes that were set up at the Museum of Mining and took Bruce's jackhammer to create dust clouds which made it look like the Ghost appears from them.
But his plans were soon foiled when he was unaware of Velma getting prepared with a gas mask and finding/unplugging the jackhammer, which then led him getting tackled by Scooby, unmasked by Fred and later arrested.
